Tianyi Zhao

Tianyi was born and raised in mainland China and has a diverse academic background that includes a Bachelor of Arts from China, a Master of Transport Management from the University of Sydney, and a Master of Accounting from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). He furthered his expertise with a Chartered Accountant ANZ qualification and earned his MBA from IESE Business School in 2022. With extensive experience as a finance and strategy business partner, Tianyi has successfully managed and delivered major commercial projects across the Energy, Automotive, and Logistics industries. His pursuit of a search fund course at IESE ignited his passion for acquiring and leading businesses, driven by the role’s challenges, autonomy, and continuous learning opportunities. Outside of his professional life, Tianyi has a broad range of interests, including road cycling, swimming, board games, video games, theatre, and classical music.
